Yiwen Li is a Co-Founder of LA Blockchain Lab, a collaboration of academia, government, enterprise, investors, startups, and the general community to establish and elevate the blockchain ecosystem in California and among different regions.

Yiwen is a veteran of over ten years in investment and international business including equity research and wealth management at Capital Group – one of the world’s largest investment management companies with over $1.8 trillion under management. Prior to Capital Group, Yiwen was at the United Nations headquarter in Vienna, worked closely with the head of the Asian Division at the United Nations Industrial Development Organization.

Yiwen received a dual master degree in Global Studies and Economics from the London School of Economics and University of Vienna; a dual Bachelors’ degree in German Studies and English Studies from Beijing Foreign Studies University. As one of three candidates in China, Yiwen received the Erasmus Mundus scholarship from the European Union from 2006-2008.

Yiwen is the Board of Director at Give2Asia, one of the largest foundations in the US focused on philanthropic giving in Asia. Yiwen is the Board of Director of Asia Society, the leading educational organization dedicated to promoting mutual understanding and strengthening partnerships between Asia and the United States. She is on the advisory board of Get Global, a large global conference help companies expand their business global wide. Yiwen is also part of the Committee 100 ‘s Next Generation Leader program.

Yiwen is the author of “Make the World Your Playground”, a book published in 2017 by the leading Chinese publisher Joint Publish House. Yiwen has lived in fifteen cities, seven countries, and three continents, is fluent in English, Mandarin, and German.
